Online Basic Fire Safety Awareness

Our popular online fire safety awareness training is designed to give your staff a good understanding of fire procedures and fire safety considerations in the workplace.  Delegates click through an online presentation at their own pace and then receive a certificate once they have passed a simple test.  Visit AFP Training, our online training site, for more details.

Onsite Basic Fire Safety Awareness

Our onsite basic fire awareness course will also give your staff a good understanding of fire safety and fire procedures, but is coupled with a practical session.  This course is normally conducted at the customers’ own premises which means it can be tailored to your own specific requirements.  The course takes between 2 and 4 hours (depending on the number of delegates) and normally includes ‘live fire’ fire extinguisher training.  A certificate is issued to each delegate on completion.

Fire Warden / Fire Marshall

Our Fire Warden / Fire Marshall course is an intensive one-day course designed to give you the skills and experience needed to carry out a fire marshall role in your organisation.  This course can also be conducted at the customers’ own premises, or you can attend one of our regularly scheduled courses which are held at a number of venues across the South West.  A certificate is issued to each delegate on completion.

Pre-Purchase Inspections

If you are contemplating purchasing a commercial property or business then be aware that the necessary fire precautions for the new property can sometimes put unexpected strain on an already tight budget.  As well as the normal building survey, many conveyencers may recommend an electrical, gas, plumbing or drainage inspection before purchase but few suggest a fire safety audit, even though the costs can be significant if there are serious inadequacies in fire safety provision.

Argos Fire Protection can carry out a full fire safety audit of the property and provide a detailed report (including budget figures for remedial work if required).  A small investment in a very reasonably priced fire safety audit will often highlight serious issues, which could affect your decision to purchase or be used for price renegotiation.  Either way a pre-purchase fire safety audit report could save you a significant amount of money.  Contact us for more information.
