ASSESSMENTS
A fire risk assessment is required for the purpose of satisfying the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and is a legal requirement for any business employing five or more people, any licensed premise, public buildings and the common areas of shared residential properties, including houses of multiple occupancies.
We all have to carry out a Fire Risk Assessment because of the law, but it is actually just giving a structure to what we should all be doing anyway in the best interests of our businesses, and prevention is of course better than cure.
But the good news is that we can carry out a fire risk assessment for you!
Competency
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that a person is to be regarded as competent in order to conduct a fire risk assessment where they have sufficient training and experience or knowledge and other qualities to enable them properly to assist in undertaking the preventative and protective measures.
We use fully independent, 3rd party accredited Fire Risk Assessors, this will give you the peace of mind that all the information you receive will be completely impartial and unbiased.
The independent risk assessors hold Graduate Status of the Institute of Fire Engineers (GIFireE) and Technician Status of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (TechIOSH).
Their fire risk assessments are conducted using the PAS79+ template, which is nationally recognised by all Local Authorities and is a highly regarded format. The detailed reports include an easy to understand action plan, which detail any remedial work required in order to achieve compliance and reduce the risk rating of the premise.
